Old Fashioned Community Wide After-Church Picnic at Lake Murray Presbyterian Church, 2721 Dutch Fork Road, 1 PM – 4 PM. Sponsored by the Justin Pepper Foundation. Dunking booth, dessert bake-off, ultimate Frisbee tournament, picnic games, face painting, hamburger and hot dog lunch plates.

Labor Day Parade - begins at 9:30 AM. Route: from GIS down Chapin Road to Lexington Avenue, turn right to Columbia Avenue, right to East Boundary Street, right to Weisz Street and back to GIS. (Parade lines up beginning at 8 AM at the GIS lot on Chapin Road). Trophies to be awarded for the best floats in Commercial, Non Profit, Children and Youth and overall categories for best representation of the theme, “Let Freedom Ring.”
